Chemical Peel

Chemical peels are similar to microdermabrasion.

Our SkinCeuticals skin peel uses a chemical solution in order to improve the skins appearance, eliminate fine lines, correct belmishes and treat acne.  A special solution containing alpha and beta hydroxy acids are applied to the surface of the skin to remove dead and damaged skin and reveal younger, healthier layers beneath.

A simple patch test on your arm is needed before the peel at no charge.

A light peel that can be done in your lunch break!  Takes about 30 minutes.  Best results are obtained with one peel a week for 3 to 6 weeks and IPL treatment to correct blemishes and smooth lines.

IPL Photorejuvenation & Pigment Removal

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) provides a safe, non-surgical treatment for many skin conditions often brought about by age or over-exposure to the sun.  It can be used to improve the skins appearance, eliminate fine lines, correct blemishes and treat acne.  It is particularly effective when combined with other clinic treatments such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion.

Pigmented areas absorb the IPL light and convert it to heat causing a break up in the pigment.  For example, with broken capillaries the light energy is absorbed by the pigment in the blood and the unwanted vein simply disappears.  There is no downtime you can literally go straight back to work after treatment.  Make-up may also be applied immediately after treatment.

IPL Acne Treatment

Intense Pulsed Light is a fantastic treatment for mild to moderate acne and its associated skin discolouration.  IPL destroys bacteria that cause acne and directly targets the overactive sebaceous glands that cause outbreaks of pustules, resulting in shrinkage of the inflamed sebaceous glands and helps to prevent overproduction of excess sebum.

Typically Intense Pulsed Light treatment is combined with chemical peels or microdermabrasion for maximum results.
