Excess Sweating

Sweating is normal and necessary to control the body’s temperature. However people with hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) produce sweat in far greater quantities than is required in order to regulate their body’s temperature.

Hyperhidrosis is not a temporary condition and it can be severely impact the daily life of people who suffer from it.

The condition mainly affects the underarms and here at The Ivy Clinic we offer a highly effective treatment to significantly improve the quality of life for hyperhidrosis sufferers.

The treatment consists of a purified protein, known as botulinum toxin, being injected directly into the underarms. The toxin works by blocking the chemical signals that are sent to the sweat glands which are needed in order to produce sweat.

Botulinum toxin injections will improve underarm sweating for 3-8 months, and the treatment can be repeated as often as required.

Our principal practitioner, Dillon Chan, is a qualified dentist and has gone to to study facial aesthetics at the Royal College of Surgeons and carries out botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and non-surgical face lifts to an advanced level.

A free consultation is provided prior to treatment.
